The new Solartron Metrology "DRC" is a DIN Rail mountable oscillator/demodulator device suitable for a wide range of inductive transducers due to its wide input gain capability.

The module is housed in a standard DIN rail enclosure which can clip directly onto a 35mm top hat rail (TS35 EN50022) and is powered from a 10 to 30 VDC power supply.  All connections are made using screw terminals.

The DRC set-up and adjustments are easily made using a combination of internal links and front panel mounted fine adjustment potentiometers.  The span and offset controls allow for easy output set-up of up to ±10V or ±20mA (including 0-10V and 4-20mA).

In addition, the DRC allows implementation of some basic analogue arithmetic operations - for example, two DRC modules with respective inputs A and B can be linked to produce an output A+B, A-B, (A+B)/2 or (A-B)/2.
